Ebay hav not had cheap listig day for moths for UK anyway. THey did have half price list day but what is he use of that? How can us little fish make money when it costs us like £1.50 to list a £UK 20 item each time??? My opinion Ebay are scrooges
Yes, and that's just the start. They have consistently increased listing prices and decreased exposure for listings. I'm trying to move away from eBay and sell more on my site. eBay are ripoff merchants.
Thing is Ebay are THE auction site you can go to other sites but they not cut it. I try to sell things on my site but its getting the traffic. Ebay make it easy to get viewing buyers but of course it costs YOU and ME
Yep, they've got the monopoly so they can rip people off. You should see the eBay powerseller forum, absolutely full of people complaining about seller fees, saying they're struggling to make profit. The problem is, they'd unlikely make any profit anywhere else so they have to live with it. I realised very early on that heavily relying on eBay for your income would prove a big mistake, so I worked on my own site from the start. Lucky I did, when eBay decided to put a stop to UK listings being show on the eBay US site my profits dropped instantly to losses. I now struggle to make any real money on eBay.
I have to disagree. I know some sellers who are making thousands and thousands of dollars on E-bay, disregarding the seller fees. I know many places and the type of products that sell well on ebay, and I am talking about digital products. I will reveal my tips soon so stay tuned. I have myself made thousands on Ebay with just one digital e-book with just 4 listings. It is not hard to do so - you just need to play their game.
I agree with million dollar man. I, myself, wasn't able to tap the ebay market but I personally know of a couple people whom have done very well with ebay. These particular people sold collectibles and antiques. One even opened up his own store and sold other folks' collectibles for them for a fee on top of the ebay and paypal fees.
ebay is not the right place to sell for the simple reason that they can ban you anytime for any reason, and you will be losing all of you money. Try to find other places to sell your stuff.
Exactly. Never rely solely on eBay I agree, people have made a lot of money on eBay. I have made thousands myself over a 6 month period, but the profit plummeted March 2007. Sure, there's still money to be made, but in most instances you'd make more if you put the time into developing your own website and doing a lot of marketing/promotion.
The real money is at the backend...Ebay can be seen as a leverage My upcoming report will talk about this..
They charge it because they can... I started listing auctions for as cheap as possible for no other reason than to get a quality link...I don't really sell much on there anymore.
I'm certainly never giving up. I need to start split-testing listings. If I'd done that from the start, I'd be making MUCH more.
There's loads of guides on the net, but a few general ones include: 1. Get as many keywords into your titles as you can, without making them gibberish 2. Provide a link in your listings to 'more info' on your website (where you can sell the same products!) 3. Use detailed descriptions and images. I recommend you learn to write sales copy 4. Depending on your market, you'll likely be best listing at around 9pm
I don't know if it is available all over. But I have unlimited free ebay listings till the end of September. Check your ebay messages, maybe its available to everyone.
