I just looked at a few gadgets on ebay and than on Fry's website, seems like ebay is not cheap anymore, almost anything I looked at turned out cheaper on the retail site than on ebay...
Some people buy from frys and put it on ebay for a higher price. if you live near a frys you can get better deals than on their website.
LOL, same thing for me, i listed about 2 object and started the bid at approx. 50$. At the end of the month i had a beautifull invoice of 25$ or so, can't remember.
For me it depends where the seller is. Shipping charges are very expensive and sometimes even more so than buying it in retail stores.
Ebay is not good even for sellers. The insertion fee and other charges are so high. Ebay is at its peak and going down. If you are a stock investor you can make some money by shorting Ebay shares
Yeah if you're talking about electronic stuff - yeah it is not cheap. But other items still reasonably cheaper especially antiquities. Imagine the time and cost you'd spend seeking these items without eBay!

I used to sell sports cards on ebay, and any thing that was not bolted down in my house, but the prices went down and the fees kept going up, listing fee picture fee, final sale fee, paypal fee, and so on... so I quit doing it.
