    So....... ebay bought a % of craigslist, they basically own paypal... and now this?... I can see ebay expanding like Google..

    Yeah, I mean they are making good investments.. but then everything will be owned my major corps.. (online! This is already common offline with coca cola, etc)..

    Yeah of course they're all major corps fighting with each other to see who can.. be the "biggest" I'm sure one day some MAJOR corp can buy ALL of the companies in their market... (such as coke buying ALL softdrink companies.. that would be scarey)

    I wouldn't say either are .. evil. If we're talking about offline corps, I would say NIKE, actually I'd have to name almost all of them (exploiting child labour and such!!!)

    It looks like google is not trying to build the next StumbleUpon. They were also interested in acquiring StumbleUpon but i guess ebay beat them to it.

    Like many people, I still don't see the purpose of acquiring StumbleUpon. $50+ Million for a site where people go when they're bored? Stumblers almost never click on ads or buy products, they just keep on stumbling through. Any thoughts on eBay's reasoning?
