I am not too often on eBay, but noticed the last few times I bought something that it seems to be the standard nowadays that the seller waits to receive feedback from the buyer first. Am I the only one thinking this should be the other way around? I paid and did my part - so, give me feedback. I leave you mine when you do your part and deliver what I bought. I mean - I see the why the seller does it, but this is not fair trade in my opinion. If you are honest and deliver what you promised there should be no reason to leave feedback. Christoph
Even get emails from sellers that I purchased from, that if I leave feedback first, they will leave feedback. So, I don't leave feedback! Tell sellers, feed me first, then I will feed you. One seller had the weird idea that he should get the feed first as he was the seller...or so he told me in reply. Even when I mentioned the fact that buyers like myself are what is keeping him in business on ebay, and thus buyers should get the feed first, he still said that he never gives feed until the buyer does. So to get him excited, I left him negative feed! Hahahahahhahahahaha.... That started an entire new routine with ebay and their odd way of what they call arbitration to reverse that feed! Told ebay, then do as you please, I will never leave feed again. And they sent me an email with a link to a page that explained all about feed and why it is so important to leave feed.
I don't care either way... When I sell, I leave feedback after I receive payment. When I buy, I leave feedback after I receive the item. Some people just don't leave feedback. One guy I sold some stuff too (he was in Japan) left me feedback with comments on the quick shipping and the quality of the item - before he received it. Go figure. ;-)
I've had a buyer leave feedback like that for me too. I do prefer the seller to give feedback first but either way is ok.
