I don't know if it is worthless or I didnt market it the right way. I posted it to my facebook wall, told my 100+ friends and posted in related pages but less that 5 clicks so far. am I doing the right, or there is a better way to promote the website Idea is to ask your friends comments about the items you'd like to buy, using the facebook share button . http://shopaider.net46.net/ it's in free hosting because of no budget, but only for the beginnig, is that may be the reason ? i.e people hate to click in free domains?
Well if you are posting the link to a FB account that only has 100 friends you can't expect massive traffic. Assume less than 5% will actually click on your link.
Fix the spelling errors on your website first off. Second, domains are everything. Invest the $10 and purchase a hosting plan. You have to spend money in this case to establish legitimacy. After that, establish a marketing plan, focusing on who you want to appeal to, how you want to reach them, and your ultimate goal in the end.
pretty neat idea, the search results are not working that well, with just a little marketing you should be able to get this off the ground, submit it to killerstartups.com and similar sites, to get some initial traffic and feedback.
MitchHoward , RMelick and Dav Fernado thanks to you all for your comments I highly appreciate them, RMelick, could you please point where are these spelling errors, I havent seen them (too bad english). Dav Fernado, thanks for the support.could you clarify plz what is the problem with the search?.. I didnt know about this kind of web sites, thanks for sharing I'll give them a try If you have more similar ones I'll be very thankful.
search for shoes and see the results. in google enter "killerstartups" then click on the "similar" link
You are going in a right way. I think it is a better way for promoting your site. You can also blogging and create backlink.
The idea is a sound one however I think you should change up the domain as mentioned just now. Something easier to remember would really help it along..
privesy polisy = privacy policy Also, eBay can come after you with the use of their name on your page. You need to establish that you are a separate entity from eBay and have no affiliation with them.
first of all your main page layout looks good but the search layout is not good and there is a small spelling mistake as others have mentioned and the main thing is that if u want to run a website you have to buy a good tld domain
thank you all, so domain is important. now I should try some freelancing to get some money and buy a domain+host eBay rejected may app , I was thinking the only reason is the free domain, and no problem to use eBay name without the eBay logo. @ djdestruction & msk19994 thanks for your designing hints .
Domains and hosting are cheap. As for the use of the eBay name without the logo, you might want to read the legal use of a trademark a little closer. If you attempt to make any money through the use of their name, including using it in your domain, while also using their services, you will be breaking US trademark law. That's just a FYI.
