Just discovered a new (and very dangerous) form of phishing scam - only this one is coming directly from eBay's servers. Here's the link to Digg: http://digg.com/security/eBay_enters_the_world_of_Phishing Cheers!
Its an exploit in the code.... Im sure ebay doesn't wanna steal your login information. Nice try trying to get your story dugg.
No, of course eBay's not doing it themselves. But, they obviously haven't plugged the hole that lets these guys redirect their auction listings to some phishing site. I bet you a ton of people just gave these crooks their eBay ID's and passwords...
Oh my god. I wonder if this had anything to do with when my proxy was allegedly used for phishing according to ebay abuse? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=108930 It makes just a little bit of sense when you consider that the ultimate url ALMOST goes to a legit ebay auction. But that auction does not redirect a user anywhere? So I don't get it...was I hacked or was my proxy used in a phishing scam directly...or there was a typo? Or what?
