Ebay Domain Auction Poll

I would like to conduct a Poll.

Currently I am selling 40 domains on ebay and the buyers seem to be very selective. Perhaps your typical bargain hunter domain speculators (just like me). My 4 letter domains get gobbled up but other decent domains either don't sell or sell for 0.99 cents. I was prepared for a little bit of a learning curve with this DomainExperiment thing but I didn't know that it would be costing me this much money. Not only do I have the domains to pay for but I also have the ebay listing cost and the paypal payment fees. I have taken a big hit in the last week and I imagine I will contune to get kicked in the gut. But then again this is a learning process.

I am curious out of the members on this forum that collect domains, how many of you search domains on ebay on a regular basis? Please post a reply and let me know if you search ebay domain listings or have ever bought or posted domains for sale on ebay. Thank you.

I search for domains on eBay on a regular basis but only bid when I feel the domain is undervalued :D IMHO, eBay is for people looking for discounts. Don't expect to be able to sell at market price. Try selling your domains on Sedo or domain forums, you should be able to sell your domains at higher prices.

I never look on ebay anymore because it takes to much time to wade through all the junk. (I have several hundred feed backs from other stuff I buy there).

I offered domains on ebay for over a year, listed them in an ebay store, auctions, the whole nine years.

The end result was very few sales as most ebay buyers are looking for bargain basement prices. So I no longer spend any time using ebay for buying or selling.

Same here, I also stopped selling there because the fees and people not paying was adding up. Enay was good 2 to 3 years ago when I was into it but now there is way too much junk on there.

I also feel the same way, I never go there anymore for domain purchases. I also tried the selling thing and all I got out of it was a bill. Best to stick to domain/webmaster forums to sell your names I think. eBay is a wast of time and money.

I go through EBay domain list most days and have picked up some great buys there. Haven't sold there in a while as I'm usually disappointed with my results there. If you're not getting the results you want I'd experiment with other sales avenues - Afternic, Aftenic Bazaar, TDNam, Sedo, forums like this, your own web site, contacting buyers directly.
