eBay, detecting users country and sending to their local ebay site

    Has anyone done any testing with detecting the country of a visitor and then sending them to their local eBay site eg. .com for US, .ca for Canadian, .co.uk for UK ..and so on.

    I wonder if it's worth doing, perhaps it would increase the conversions, just a guess.

    Its more than worth it. If someone from from the uk gets the usa rover link, you wont get a commission at all if they bid using ebay UK.

    Ok thanks guys, I see some free IP-to-country databases on google, are you guys using those or paying for a subscription like GeoIP ?
