Well if this goes right I might have cracked a code that has been bothering me . This is an experiement I am trying . Feel free to duplicate it and tell me your success .

First create an auction have some info in it . Sell something .

second in auction listing bring up your website .

third I believe that is it .

Well maybe I will show you and that may help .

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=150233024407&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=005

Please do not bid on the auction just kind of take what I did there and apply it to your bussiness

It won't work for backlinks because I think eBay is nofollowed. Besides, even if it's not, your auction won't stay long enough for it to get indexed by Google and count as a backlink and second, I think EBay doesn't allow any outgoing links for their auctions and if one of their employees come across your auction, they'd probably mail you a warning and you could get your Ebay ID banned.

you can easily get some backlinks by commenting on dofollow blogs. all the blog owners need quality comments on their blogs. comment by writing someting that adds value to the blog itself and your comment will be approved (for blogs that are moderated) and you will get related backlinks

Well bad advice Natalie I seen websites listed in ebay using google search . So yes google will list your website from ebay . As far as auction being removed as of yet that has not happened . Will keep people updated . So far I have not been listed . But time will tell . The real funny thing is my adwords campaign has got me listed . My advert that is . Is that not wierd or what .

    eBay isn't nofollow'd:

    <P align=center><FONT color=#000258 size=7>Sample here&nbsp;&nbsp; </FONT><A href="http://dating.1trhost.com/"><FONT color=#000258 size=7>http://dating.1trhost.com/</FONT></A><BR></P>

    Code (markup):
It just produces horrible html mark-up. So far, your eBay auction isn't indexed. But, link to it a few times and it'll soon get indexed.

Not entirely sure what benefit you think this will bring you - the number of auctions starting/ending on eBay all the time means your auction page will be way down the list within a couple of hours, then be deleted after 90 days of the auctions end, meaning you'll get very little traffic, serp boost or even PR from the link. You might be more interested in selling 'an idea' - thus, getting eBay users straight to your site. It's worked well for me in the past.

Thanks spider-man I was just running an experiement is all . Also believe it or not from that auction I have generated a few visitors .

Well to be honest Dreads it cost a few cents . to list on ebay . Not much but a few cents like 20 or 30 cents I can not remeber .

BTW this may have done before but I did come up with this idea in my own head . I like to find new ways to promote outside the box and to get backlinks outside the box .

Living in the box is sooo boreing

P.S. You guys are great . Thanks for the help with my experiement . I hope this thread helps others .

Yes they are another thing I noticed unrelated to experiement is the fact that when you post here you get a one way link from a page rank 6 forum  well I think it is pagerank 6 . ( here is my plan to get indexed with search engines without submitting to them :) ) Buy using Ideas from my own head . It takes too long for google to index a new site . Once I find the magic formula I will be able to help others . I am trying to think up new ways to get backlinks that are basicly free . Like ebay . As well as other well known sites . It is not easy but I think I can do it . While none of the ideas I have may be original . Least I thought them up on my own .

Also trying to create a techno buzz . I know there is a formula to get people talking about your site . Many have done it on a low budget .

I just noticed Spider-mans post is like a couple of seconds before mine lol

anyhow 20 cents isnt really worth it tbh, thats kinda expensive compared to many other ways to get links.
