    I do both, have a BANSish site and Adsense, it does pretty well.

    I don't think it's overkill.

    Depends on your niche. I mean if you're going to be trying to get people to win bids on cheap stuff then it prob. wouldn't help but if your niche is expensive things and you get higher payouts then sure.

    Either way it's all about the mathematics. Punch some numbers.
