eBay Affiliate Link and API Use Question

I've signed up with CJ.com and I've been an eBay Affiliate for a month now.
    So far so good.

I use the Editor Kit to create dynamic relevant content and have gotten pretty good results.

I want to have a link that allows the person who clicked it to be taken directly to the eBay registration/sigup page. I can find the code to make them go to a landing page, or specific catagory or even specific auction, but I can't find the link to simply allow them to signup.

I know Shawn uses this link code, but where did you find it?

    Please advise.
    -----------
Well shortly after writing this I took a quick look and found a place I could make my own link. ... here http://affiliates.ebay.com/tools/linking/

I just went to eBay's sitemap and copied the link location of the "register now " page. and entered it into this tool. OK that was easy. ;)

    -----------
And as far as the eBay API thing goes ...
I've been hearing a bunch of people say how expensive the API program is and how they only allow 50 queries a day, and how it's just not worth it.
Well I looked more into it last night.

    Found here: http://developer.ebay.com/devprogram/membership/affiliate.asp
    - It costs $250 to join the eBay API program.
    - API use restricted to 5 API calls:
    GetSearchResults, GetCategoryListings, GetItem, GetCategories, GetCategory2CS
Any API traffic in addition to the 5 calls above will be charged at $2.90 per 1,000 calls
    - Free, ... up to 3 million calls per day
So that's 3 million calls a day for those free 5 query calls. Other calls cost money.

And there is a performance minimum you must reach after a 3 month period of using the API.
    - At least one (1) new buyer per 2,000 Free API Calls per month or one (1) User Bid or Qualified Buy It Now per one hundred (100) Free API Calls per month AND
    - At least one hundred and fifty (150) new buyers per month OR (3,000) three thousand bids and BINs per calendar month

All found in the Terms at thie URL; http://developer.ebay.com/devprogram/membership/TermsConditions.asp

So as you can see it isn't free, but if your serious and think you can make a good amount of money from it, the initial $250 isn't bad. Heck maybe you all ready have $250 in AdSense Money. :)
And the minimum performance makes sure you are making about $300 a month minimum.

I'd say this is a good thing to look into, which is what i'll be doing, but being that I don't know programming very well it will take me a while to implement well. :)

    Any comments?
