Must I have an article with good traffic or can I just have an new webshop to be approved by ebay for selling affiliate products?

He is asking if he needs an established site with traffic before he can join ebay...
too be honest, I would not join any affiliate site if you have to ask such a question...
as it simply would do you no good if you have no traffic; that is like trying to join
adsense, but your website has no content or traffic which would do you no good....

Of Course I have sources of traffic but am targeting people that are very interested in buying a product so traffic will be low and my earnings would still be good. Currently traffic of my site is 0 and as I said I know to drive traffic but I want to do it after I get approved as affiliate. I just want to know what is actually required to be ebay's affiliate and can I just create webshop and simply list items?

any info you need most like will be located
    in their terms of service....

most people get banned on any affiliate site because
they did not follow some of the simplest rules...
and you should read it anyway....

and i would not be surprised if ebay did not have some type
of forum where you could ask questions like that over there...

    Hi lolada66,

For application to eBay for selling as their affiliate, you need the following:
    1. Identify a category with eBay

    2. For that category, setup a site with a few pages with good content and display (5 to 10 pages) would be good. You need to put in some nice picture. Good to have some of those content leading/showing the usefulness of some of the potential products in that category.

    3. Do some valid link back (need not a lot). Good if the domain name that you used for this site is an aged domain name. It will come with some PR ranking already (to address your traffic concern and the age of your site). Of course, you need to check the old history of the previous site hosted on this domain (you can check out archive.org) to ensure that it is not hosting any questionable content (eg. porn).

    4. Once the above are in place, then start your application to eBay. If at first you don't succeed, make some tweaks and try again.

If you are from Asia, then the chance of the approval would be very low. For those cases, don't despair. There are other alternative.

    cheers
