Ebay Ads Count as Backlinks?

I've noticed that Ebay auctions listed for 10 days show up in SERPs for keywords related to the ad. If there is a link to my site on the auction page does anyone know if it helps SERPs like other backlinks?

 

Thats a good question, I was kind of wondering that myself.

i think they are using nofollow in their links. it will not help on your google seo but it will help yahoo&msn if your product page is index by them

 

is there anyway that it could hurt your listings? when i research our backlinks, i see a large number of them are coming from ebay, within our listings or about me page. would it be possible that google would see this as link spam?
