Many times, few of my Webmaster friends have asked to share tips to get .edu backlinks. I am hereby sharing few easy ways which worked for me in reality. They are as follows:- 1. If you are an expert in any of your favorite subject, offer the admin of educational website some free tutorial articles periodically on that subject but they should posses enough knowledge in it. This method is known as content knowledge sharing. 2. Most of the College admins have little or no knowledge about marketing their website , just share few basic optimization pointers about their website to the relevant webmasters which should work a bit and they will surely give you link back. 3. Colleges have sponsorship programmes to encourage poor but brilliant student, be a donor there. They might put your link in their sponsor page. 4. In this world of stress, offer to organize a camp of meditation or self healing for the students. That can work quite well for you. 5. Work as a part-time online guest lecturer of college Kindly add up more points here.
Very true... Getting .edu backlinks is all aout identifying some blogs that have a do-follow .edu link. You're ready to go..
You can also hold some sort of scholarship contest for a local university. Best online video gets a $200 scholarship. It buys you a link and probably gets you at least 50 submissions to help your own SEO efforts even more.
seriously these are "easy ways to get edu backlinks" So I sign up to be a part time lecturer - hmmm slight hard So i have to be an education expert - hmmm that rules most people out and makes it hard be a donor on sponsorship pages - hmmm sounds very expensive and only a handful of edus do this making that hard contact the webmaster and pat him on the head - thats not hard but will not getting you any links. arrange to do meditation?? - oh come on EASY WAY: buy scrapebox and run a custom footprint, you can pick up 50 good backlinks a day
I got a list of custom footprints about 500 or so. I will post them tomorrow if it helps people to get more edu links
.edu links can drastically increase your SERP's and so does .gov links so dont give up and keep on looking for them
Lol... None of the ways sounded "Easy" to me. Anyway, thanks for sharing you thought. Regards ibanezgrx1
Nice tips. I particulary like "sharing few basic optimization pointers about their website for a link" one.
If you have better and easier ways to get .edu links, why did you not share with welfare of DP forum? I as well as all my fellow members of DP will wait eagerly to see your methodology soon.
sandy121, you explain how to get backlinks in a natural way, the way your visitors and search engines will appreciate. Good methodology but it's a bit hard... but result can be great as well. As for ronmac, he just offer you to spam edu websites. Don't we have enough spam already? google and other search engines will discount these kind of links, so no use. See... no pain - no gain. ronmac, you should stop advertising spamming. Don't you just love it when you log in to wp admin you have hundreds of comments to moderate and they are all spam?
Preate: what are you talking about "advertising spamming" - because I said "spam away", get a grip its called a turn of phrase. just trying to help people so stop your whinning. I have listed a few "search terms" for anyone that does not help. Also if anyone wants more specific footprints just post a request and I will dig some out FEW FOOTPRINTS TO GET YOU GOING inurl:.gov+inurl:blog site:.edu inurl:wp-login.php +blog site:.gov inurl:wp-login.php +blog site:.edu inurl:â€wp-admin†+login site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment†site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment†–“comments closed†-â€you must be logged in†“keyword†site:.edu “no comments†+blogroll -â€posting closed†-â€you must be logged in†- â€comments are closed†site:.gov “no comments†+blogroll -â€posting closed†-â€you must be logged in†- â€comments are closed†inurl: (edu|gov) “no comments†+blogroll -â€posting closed†-â€you must be logged in†- â€comments are closed†site:.edu inurl:blog “comment†-â€you must be logged in†-â€posting closed†-â€comment closed†“keyword†"keyword" blog site:.edu keyword +inurl:blog site:.edu
