I partially agree. You don't need much money to start but I don't think you would earn too much from signatures in forums etc, therefore to earn more you would need to advertise somewhat and probably have your own site/s.
I agree except you need to learn fast about affiliate marketing and marketing otherwise you will be making no money. if you don't know how to market how can you make sales? You can start fast as long as you learn fast and stay focused
Its one of the easiest methods to start in online marketing. No inventory, no support, no shipping. But as you said it is easy to start. Because when you start you just sign up, get all the promotion tools and you are ready to start making money... You dont need to spend any money?? Yes you can start with $0 down. You can make some money for free at first but it will cost you time. Later in order to make more money you have to spend money even in affiliate marketing. You have to pay some money for a website, for ppc, affiliate marketing books, affiliate tools e.t.c. You do not need to know much about Affiliate Marketing?? Its not only copy and pasting your affiliate link. There are some several stuff you need to know and apply correctly for example preselling, converting e.t.c. I had a friend that got a $100 free G! Adwords voucher for free after he signed up so he was able to get visitors for free. He bid on $2-$5 keywords that had hundreds of daily searches and he was sending them all to the affiliate website. After 30 minutes was back to 0
Time = Money so the part about it costs nothing is false in my opinion. I have been in the internet game for 12 years now and have seen countless times "Make money! It's Easy!". Well that's not always true... It depends on the market, how saturated the market is, how much competition is, etc... I have ran a network of websites that would get a total of 3 MILLION (yes million) people a day and sometimes wouldn't make a net revenue. And then sometimes I would have a site getting 5,000 a day which would convert just as well. It's all trial and error. Find something that sticks and stay with it.
To be blunt that makes you a pretty unethical marketer - how can you promote a product you havent used or at least reviewed? I also think people are wising up to this type of marketer and you have to put a bit more effort in: get your own blog (that can be free too), buy the product: if you are really worried about it buy on clickbank so you can get your money back if its crap, and then promote it - people will then trust your opinion and you will slowly develop a list and a reputation for being a decent marketer
From everything I have heard, your advice is spot on. The possibilities are endless with Affiliate Marketing. You can sign up with ClickBank for free and have a smorgasbord there for the picking. Creativity can be a big help to boost your success. You don't have to promote everything online and you can enlist your friends and family to help spread the word. If you want to make it easier for people to get to the affiliate site, you may want to invest in a domain name and have it forwarded to the affiliate link. Affiliate Marketing is a great low cost beginning...once you start to make some money then it is time to move up to your own products (or Private Label Right products) and continuity programs with guaranteed monthly income. Also...don't give up...never, never, never give up! Scott
You're nice to help Scott but possibilities are not endless even with affiliate marketing for newbies and many markets are saturated There are already many companies and many individual internet marketers with marketing muscles and cash to invest out there It's not just about work and determination. You will have to work a lot and to have a great determination anyway. This is a basic issue indeed It's all about finding the right niche (not saturated) for you
What IS affiliate marketing? Can somebody explain it to me? None of the posts above me have seem to answered the question.
I agree on this. I tried affiliate marketing before but I failed. This is because I just put banners on my blog, and wrote some posts about them. I think the key here is focus, and a nice website. Although we can use signatures at emails and forums, we cannot just convinced them to buy with explanation it to them. Furthermore, it is best that you know all the details about the product so that they will believe that you are selling quality products.
You come on DP and you don't know what is affiliate marketing Fine Here is something for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliate_marketing
C'mon, buddy. I think that's not a good way to treat someone who wants to learn. After all, most of us came here to learn. But I am glad you still made an effort to help him. No offense, though.
C'mon, buddy. I helped this guy and provided a relevant link But I guess people registering to forums.digitalpoint.com (not so easy to find) are able to do some research too and can Google or "search" on DP Nobody else (but me) answered his question anyway
Without a doubt I think Affiliate Marketing is the best way to get started. Simply because you don't need a product or even a website.
If you really like to earn money then you need to have all of it. The problem of those people who wants to earn big money is they are avoiding huge expenses. Big companies earn huge money but they also got huge expenses.
Yes, that's why I said that I am glad. Anyway, I think I just have to add something for the thread. I think starting any online business may be easy, but maintaining it is the hardest part.
I think affiliate marketing is a great way to go too, especially if you are a newbie. I would recommend though that you choose to market products that you have a passion for, or feel passionate about. why? Because to market products you have to spread the word about them and if you don't know anything about the product, nor really care about them, it's hard to write honest, sincere content, and your potential customers will know it.
