There are many tutorials in the internet about getting quality backlinks, but most of them just either don't work or have a loe probability of working. In my opinion, this one, well used of course, can work perfectly.
Another good tip that goes along with this is to do a search for sites that already mention your web site or product, and simply ask them to add a link on the page that mentions it. This one is hugely overlooked and very easy.
