@Viro go to this address http://directory.google.com/ and find your site. If you have never submitted your site to dmoz then don't bother you're not in the Google directory and you will have to wait for the pr update.

it's not important how long it takes (not important for those who can check the updated pr now ). Google will export the toolbar any day now. But I know exactly what to expect so i don't give a squat about it that much. It will come, don't worry :)
Remember one thing!!! Pr has already been updated but you can't see it in the toolbar yet

I know a site that recently got listed and is not inside the category yet. If Google updated the links on some of its directory pages, then its not fully complete yet.

I hope your right though, and that it updates fully soon.

Google takes a snopshot of pages at a given point in time. Some sites will come too late and will have to wait for the next update.

I thought that the directory was on a different scale and also was tallied differently. Something like 1-8 scale and an average of all pages on the site. Either way I just looked and the the order and rank of all 14 sites in the same directory as me are all the same still

    Hi Volvospeed,
I believe that the scale is the same. Why would Google wanrt to use a different PR scale for it? It doesn't make any sense. Look in the cache of that directory page and see whether there are any differences. If your PR is the same and it will apparently stay that way. One of my sites is also the same - and I'm glad that it is :)

I have screenshots on file. So unless not a single site was added or moved up or down at all my specific dir is untouched. As for the scale I don't know why but 1-8 is stuck in my head. You are probably right though and I imagined it.

    @ Volvospeed
A little off topic, I moved your link. Now it's nicely placed in context - looks much better :)
Check other categories and see the changes. I found many in a few minutes

showing Pr 5 on toolbar as well. Secondly you can only check (if ever possible) DMOZ listed websites. I am sure many wont have it listed there. DMOZ is too lame these days to list a website. I miss 90s lol

Unfortunately its not "very easy", as a lot of people, and new sites are not listed in DMOZ. :)

The Google directory is being updated.

However, you should look at the copyright date of the pages you are viewing. Those showing a copyright of 2007 are the updated pages. Some may see the new pages based on location.
    http://gfe-mu.google.com/Top/
should be showing 2007 for everyone...

And the ranking you see on the Google / DMOZ directory feed is based on an 8 point scale, not the 10 point scale that toolbar PR is based upon. The information is still useful, if there are sites listed in a category that are stable (PR wise) that you can gauge your ranking from...

If you wanna get listed in dmoz, there is a list of editors for the Business section
    http://directory.google.com/Top/Business/
    or Arts
    http://directory.google.com/Top/Arts/
the editors are listed at the bottom of each main category
You can submit your site to appropriate category and then contact its editor about listing. I did that and got listed in minutes.
Perhaps, not all of the categories are already updated, but I have seen only updated pages
