Easy way to build links

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I've found that a good way to build links is just to make blogs on the many blog sites that are around, like blogger. Then, you just update them periodically so they can maybe get a PR and also maybe attract visitors (so it's also advertising). I'm doing it, I don't think it's a good technique for big sites because you can't build many links this way, well, if you work slow, but for new sites I think it's a good technique. By the way, does anybody know any other easy ways to build links?

You can run blog on your individual domain.

But you must also ask people for backlink, tell why your site is good and what you offer.

You will not get backlinks only with updating blog, you could get them but only if you have unique high quality content.

    Promote your blog.

I used blog to get my brand new website indexed and also pass on PR during PR update.

It was a in a nick of time move which paid off. :)

Where did you get this information from, I’ve never heard of that. Do you have a link to that article/news? I would like to see it.

I'm guessing what he actually meant was that links in comments on wordpress blogs have nofollow added to them by default, to discourage spam.

LOL, agreed, only links from comments dont count, and only on search engines that consider the nofollow attribute.

kaabi's idea is not bad at all. In fact I tried it myself once. But it is a tedious process to keep those 100's of blogs updated and indexed in search engines. If you can manage that part, each backlink would be a good one to have.

would be better to spend the time working on your sites content or making a new site rather than millions of blogs you would need to promote just to get some links to your webste

Easy, fast way to get lots of backlinks is simply to submit your site to directories.
Go to the buy, sell, trade forums and go to services.
You can use just about any of the manual submitters there, I have and those I used did me good.
Or look for my link where I do submissions to 260 directories via automatic software cheaper than any manual submitter.

The last time I saw this thread, the guy had said blog links don't count, now it seems he was mistaken. I don't think I'm going to upkeep the blogs though, I've already forgotten about most of them.

Where does the "to-blog" traffic come from? do you have to submit them to search engines? I mean you have to promote blogs as well, it is not like people automatically go to blog.com and find your link there.

I think it would be better to create some good content on a Free page like geocities, then link to your site. you can use it as part of your site as well. so technically you are both adding usefull content to your website, and promoting it. You don't even have to update it much, say it is an article on something, you wouldn't have to update it much.

So do the "repetitive" "tedious" and "Boring" once and then wait.

    just my two cents, anyway.

(oh, and i hate blogs). :)
