So, I'm 100% fed up with OSCommerce. I hate it hate it hate it. I need something new to sell to my clients. What can you recommend? It can be a paid option, I have no trouble with that. I just need something that won't take me umpteen hours to set up. Again, I'm VERY willing to pay for a solution like this. I could build one myself, but if there is something out there already, I'm not going to reinvent the wheel like us programmers tend to often do. So, help me out. Thanks!
My preference is Prestashop - whilst it's a paid solution, it has some very nice features in, especially if you're selling digital/informational products. Inbuilt refer-a-friend system is pretty nice too. However, for a more all round solution perhaps xcart is the way to go. Certainly the most SEO-friendly ecommerce platform I've ever come across. I'd also like to add a "hate it" to OSC - can't stand it!
oooo... I like the admin layout for Prestashop. How are either of these for templating? OSC is a bitch. I'd like something a bit easier to work with. Not necessarily on the level of Wordpress, but something that can be learned about as easily.
Nice. I see they use JQuery too, which is what I'm most proficient in, library-wise. XCart's default template is all tables. Yuck.
