Hey furca, yes have been playing with this for a quite a while now (Dec 2008 see here) and wrote a little images ranking tutorial here a while back. universal-traffic-image-optimization same as you I noticed some absurdly good rankings for no apparent reason, so then started digging to work out how to replicate it consistently for the words we did want.
