I thought the inverse was where you solve for y. So say the original was (replaced p with x, Qd with y): x = 80 - .25y x + .25y = 80 .25y = 80 - x y = (80 - x)/.25 or Qd = (80 - P)/0.25

I wasn't taking this class for credit so my inversing both sides works for me. If I hear "Daddy, I need help with my math homework" I'd answer with more effort.
