    Hey guys,

I just finished putting together a car site. I have gotten around 30 users so far to register but nothing else. Most of them are friends too. I started a Myspace account and a Facebook account. I tried forums but they started bashing me about having the URL of my website in the avatar. So now Im all out of ideas. I was thinking a contest or something.

The site is basically like cardomain but with some better features. I have even gotten a VB forum for it.

My original plan was to message people on cardomain.com and other sites like that but not sure if it would be the right thing to do or would people think its spam?

So what do you guys thing I should do?

    The site is

    http://www.hookedrides.com

    Thanks,

I really like the look of your site. Seriously nice, but if you want any shot at getting properly indexed then you need 2 or 3 paragraphs utilizing your main keywords.

Create a Squidoo lens for it, a hub, maybe add a blog to the site, and just try to get the word out to as many people as possible. Do some keyword research and start submitting articles to target those keywords. There's a wide range of possibilities for generating traffic and getting your site into the public awareness. You just have to take some action in order to see anything tangible happen with your website.

Do some keyword research (on what search terms dou you want your site to be found) then start a link building campaign or seo strategy concerning the keywords you researched.

I have a blog installed on the site. Yesterday we received our highest number of visitors, 57. I will try to run some contests and see what happens.

Also, I would appreciate it if you guys posted up your cars since that would be a big help.

Really need some help on this. I have gotten a few more visitors today than yesterday so I guess its a start.

Anyone got anything else? Anyone doing SEO here that would like to help?

    Thanks,

How about trying this: Create a Facebook group related to cars with a catchy title, like "Join This Group If Lamborghini Is the Best" (a bit lame, yes, but that's all I could think of.)

After promoting the group and getting a couple of hundred members, post the link to your site with a little description beneath it. You could even mass message the members of the group.

Or instead, you could search for popular car groups on Facebook and post your site's URL on the wall of the most popular groups. (Although this might be considered a bit unethical/grey hat)
