Easy pagerank 8

I saw a Google AdWords advertisement with the banner of "Easy pagerank 8" and a body text of "Here is how to get a pr 8 in 5 days. Fast ranking secrets."

Clicking the link takes you to a PR0 page, http://www.ysoftwares.com/pagerank.htm.

That's amusing, of course. But more amusing is that the page is hawking software which has absolutely nothing to do with Page Rank.

The software is an Alexa spammer which fools Alexa by flooding your site with traffic. Wheee! See your bandwidth bills go up!

Even more amusing is that the application is so horribly written that it crashed constantly while I was playing with it.

Most amusing, however, is that these goons actually paid Google to have me visit their site.

And think about this. Google took their money to advertise something that Google apparently clearly objects to. And for which, some people believe, Google will penalize your web site.

Anthony should jump on this one, because you really have to wonder about the ethics of this?

Compar, TrafficSwarm and all the rest of the automated scams are so well known and if any webmaster worth his salt can not see past these link and traffic scam sites they deserve to get burned.

I specialize in showing things that are not so apparent to folks :D

There is a possible joke that I could garner from the above statement, I won't do it since Shawn may ban me. It was going to be about him, but I better not try.

I will wait until he leaves himself open again :D

I brought this up a month or two ago, I can't believe they actually are making money enough to continue doing it.

TrafficSwarm is even more confusing, because they do not appear to give traffic credits for traffic which is generated by visitors to your sites -- only for traffic which is generated by you personally.

    That's just crazy.

Also crazy, they appear to debit your account whenever one of your advertisements is displayed, but only credit your account when an actual click occurs.

These are my observations from playing with their stuff for about half an hour.

Yes, I have been wasting a lot of time lately.

Will, if you are going to do things like traffic scams you might as well just become a hacker and highjack browsers, then you can force folks to come to your website.

Just join a hacker website group, they will give you the code and then you can highjack all of your friends browsers by sending them interesting email links and that sort of thing.

Or you could send photos of Elle MacPherson out with hidden code inside the file and place machine gun adware on computer users boxes when they look at the picture.

These adware guys are creative people, what will they think of next?

    1) we will give you a dollar by pay pal for clicking on this banner ad, then it turns your computer into a zombie for the Russian Mafia to steal credit card numbers and checking account numbers.

I am sure many would fall for that one.

    2) or the Nigerian Bank scam, send us your bank account number so we can transfer 30 million dollars to you, many believe this one also. :D

Well the only way and the right way is to build your link popularity your self but it takes time and some cash to get your link on high Page Rank sites.
