Easy News Updater

    I'm making a site with html for my father. He has absolutely no experience with anything above internet browsing, but wants to be able to edit the news on his site. Is there a php application or something that I can setup that will allow him to login and add news to his site? Sort of like an "Easy Website Publisher".

    Yes - Wordpress is easy - but I made the site in html already and I'd just like to add the easy publishing of news articles to the home page. Any suggestions?

    would any CMS allow me to do this?

    Remember, I want to use my current site and implement a publishing tool.
