Contest Easy Logo Design - $25 via PayPal to winner

Hi everyone,

I am looking to have a logo designed for the following name:



This is the combination of the words "ridiculous" and "coupons" - and the site will be one to offer discounts.

I am looking for something LOUD and ENGAGING - something that shows a "BAM!" and "WOW" factor/element to it. It is supposed to represent how "amazing" the discounts are, etc.

Colors are open to your artistic taste. No real preference, although I do maybe like the combination of blue/green or anything with a dark gray/black together with blue, green, red, etc.

Winner will receive $25 via PayPal.

I am hoping to keep this open for several days - until the weekend sometime. No rush.

CHSajid - thank you for starting off the contest Just a quick correction, the word is "coupons" with on "o" at the end there. I think you put a "e". I like that there is so much going on in the logo - it shows that "action" and "wow" effect. I also like the colors. But I don't like so much the font (it's a bit too "robotic" and "square/edgy") - and I would rather have it as one word instead of separated because "Ridi" doesn't mean anything on it's own by itself. Thanks for the first effort!

That's why I put up an image/jpg in my original post instead of writing the name. To give you my reaction right away, I really like the logos from vinpkl and blackmarker. But more feedback for each below:

CHSajid - thanks for the quick change. The concept is not bad - I like that there is a lot going on - and the font is better now too - although I don't like too much that the words are still seperated with the different angles on the two parts of the logo. And maybe those sports/blotches can be in more areas than just on top - behind, and below too.

Hassanjani - thanks for the entry - but this would not be what I'm looking for. I prefer to have stronger font, not italicized, and there is too many colors involved here too. And too much separation between the words and the image. And I don't think that the image of a "person/figure" fits very well for this. Thank you though.

vinpkl - I like yours the most! I am glad that you did the "splash" effect in the back. It has a good "BAM!" feel to it, which is what I wanted. It also looks like graffiti a bit, and that gives it a nice "rough" look too. Very nice. I would say thought that maybe you could try some other colors. These ones are nice in general, but the red in the back makes it look like it's blood - haha. So that would not be a good thought or association if someone thinks it's blood. Also, I like this rugged font a lot, so I'm not saying that I don't want this one - but just to compare: maybe some other similar but softer font too. Thanks!

amir_daman - this is a nice, elegant logo...but it is just too "quiet" and simple for my project. I also think that the dollar sign at the end is too commonly used in this type of logo related to deals/discounts, and the $ doesn't fit with style, font, thickness with the rest of the logo. But thank you though for the try.

blackmarker - great submission! I like this one very much also. I especially like the "star" effect in the background. But maybe it could be a bit "rougher" and messier - right now it looks so clean and symmetrical. Maybe something similar to the Batman "Pow!" like http://www.gentlegiantsrescue.com/images/POW 200.jpg or http://ecbacc.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/pow_300.gif . The colors are nice, and I like the back too since it look like a money bill / dollar bill. The font is good and fits the effect and feel - so I might want to keep this one...but just to compare and see...maybe we can try a different font as well? The only thing with this one that bothers me a bit is that the "u" looks like a "4"

sm1979 - thanks for the submission, but this is too simple for me. There is also too much going on with the color gradient and font uppercase/lowercase. The background "splash" is nice...but overall this is something I could create in Microsoft Word using WordArt or similar. So not the style I want - but thanks though.

vinpkl - this one is fantastic! Thank you. Just don't like the white line across the word - but I assume that might just be your watermark for protection? Other than that, it's great I like the strong feel, all the action that's going on in there, the colors are good too...

Let's see what else comes in. Otherwise, this one is at the top.

Hassanjani - thank you for another try. This is a nice, clean, professional looking logo - but as you might see from some of the other ones I like, I am looking for more "action" and "craziness" in the logo. This one is too quiet for what I'd like. Thanks though.

blackmarket - thanks for the edits on this. Your logo is definitely my second place right now, but I would have to say that vinpkl still leads with all the colors, action, etc in the logo. I'll wait to see what else might come in over the next couple of days and then decide.
