Hi everyone I need a logo for a professional accounting firm. The logo must include the company name "Hutcheson and Co." and title "Chartered Accountants" and you can try to incorporate some symbols or title letters such as "HC". We are not pleased with our current color scheme, therefore we are going to leave it to the designers to inspire us with their color scheme ideas. Please keep the color scheme to two colors, conservative, professional and classy...I'm thinking something blue. The logo and font needs to be strong and conservative with a contemporary edge. I was going to post the job on 99designs, however I thought I would give all the DP designers a shot first. Please post your entries on this thread. Thanks Phil
Unfortunately the company does not have a website yet. Once the logo and color scheme are designed we will be designing a site around the logo and color scheme. Thanks for your interest.
Hi Phil, I just recently completed a logo for an icewine distributor that had the same type of image requirement: conservative, professional, classy. You'll probably want a serrif font, something that is consistent with other professional service organizations. A few things to consider... Your logo should look good on paper and on the web It should look good small (as in on a cheque) or large (as on a billboard) Most importantly, it must visually COMMUNICATE! Without knowing too much about your business, you should also consider the type of clients that you are interested in attracting. Top end enterprises Small medium business Personal taxes... Keeping in mind your target audience is VERY important. When you talk to other designers, you may want to ask them how they plan to address some of these concerns in their design... Do they have a plan, or are they just going to paste "Hutcheson and Co." into some cheesy template and send it to you? Are they going to provide you with design files so you can change it at some point if you wish? Lots to consider. If you'd like, you can pm me and I'll give you a call to discuss. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with my work. Cheers! Jon
