I have a list of links that are just http://.........com's
is there an easy way of changing those into html links with thdomain as the anchor text.
other wise i would have to manually make 500 links into html links

Doh! I hope you didn't run it already.

Not that writing and sharing the program with him is bad. That's a nice, helpful, friendly thing.

But just downloading and running a .exe from someone you don't really know/trust? Bad idea (of course, I may be making an invalid assumption here. You two may be great friends in RL, in which case I feel really silly). Anything you download should really be run in some sort of sandboxed environment, at first, and tested for security holes and what not.

    Sure, this was probably safe.

But I know of people who would be happy to write this little program for you, then turn around and add in some sort of spyware or virus, or...well, who knows what? Your virus detector might catch it, but you just never know.

Well, being that I participate actively in these forums, do business with many here, and have been introduced to a number of friends, I figured most would know I wouldn't do something like that. :) However, feel free to use in a test environment first or such if you prefer. Or...if you don't want to use it...
