I just purchased a website which uses Joomla. I have no experience with Joomla, so that's why I'm looking for someone to help me out. The task shouldn't be that hard, you just have to know where to look. I'm trying to ad a 300x250 advertising banner (Amazon), placed on every page. The only catch is that every post has the has an article index which breaks the whole post up into sections. I want the ads to be displayed on the right side. Having the ability to change the banner size would be nice as well. I couldn't figure out how to manually put it into each post (properly, plus it would be time consuming), then I couldn't figure out how to put it into the source files. Here's the section that I'm talking about. Joomla 1.5.19, using Gantry Joomla Template Framework with Dominion Template. What sort of ad do you want to insert? Most of the ads have predefined sizes. Anyway i can help you to insert the ads.
