i am offering a service, i am in EU and usually i do all my transactions per paypal.

Now i got a website and i am offering a service, and i am wondering how many potential cutomers might NOT have paypal.

I need a SIMPLE and easy (free ???) way so people can pay per credit/debit-card. I am in Europe btw....and a major market of mine is USA. What else can i use for accepting payment from people with CC which get transferred to my bank-account in Europe ?

Checks/Wire transfers are just extremely slow and inconvenient.

    Any ideas ?

    thanks !

I'm in the EU and registered with the UK PayPal - Premier account.

A lot of my website traffic is from the States so, when pricing
something I will often put it in dollars. PayPal then converts
this into pounds sterling before entering into my account.

Seems to me that with PayPal, when pricing your product, you can
choose from most major currencies - it doesn't necessarily have
to be the currency of the country you live in or have your PayPal
    account with.

I know some people don't like paying with PayPal but you don't
need to be a member to pay through them. Also, don't know
    of anything else!

Credit Card companies would charge the merchant for every transactions which goes through their system so there is no way you can accept credit card payments for free since the credit card banks are not charities.

You could of course just factor in the various cost into your product and you be fine.

Depending on what you sell, you can look at 2checkout.com or shareit.com .

Incidentally if your customers are from the US, they can always use their credit card to pay you through paypal without needing to have an account. They will however give them the option to sign up for one if they want.
