Hey DP I have a license system, but I need some sort of serial key addition to it. Currently, all new installations of protected scripts are disabled and needs to be activated, but it would be great if the user could activate it on his own. So basically. what I need is, the user should just be required to put in his license key and the server will verify the license key in a database table. Remember to include your price and time, this should be fairly easy to make
Hey TopSkud, I'd like to talk in more detail about how the script currently works, to be sure I understand all the details fully. Also, depending on existing structure, there might be a few different ways to approach this issue and I want to be sure the end result is still completely secure, but also as automated as possible. I just recently (past 2 weeks) created a full PHP licensing system for a different client, so I think I'd be a great fit for this task. His script is fully integrated with AlertPay payment, and auto-generates a license key, stores it in his database, emails the end user, and then gives them a link with which to define the domain the license is tied to. This allows the end user to pay for the script and get things setup fully independent of the owner (you in this case), but also allows administration of the system, and only allows the end user to define a domain for a license once without admin intervention. As I said, there are a number of fine details on how you want things to operate, and I'd like to talk further about the best way to approach things.
