next time, before you jump in to join a contest, check the person who start it. you may find interesting things. for instance you can check this guy here how many contests he started and picked no winner, or didn't even bothered to reply on his own threads.
Well... you certainly learen while you live! And I've learned one important lesson here! I think that TakeThat is a big wanker! Not to give feedback is just how low you can go! I've waited and waited to hear the feedback and give it another go - but I gues TakeThat just doesn't have what it takes to make seriously bussiness and respect the bussinesspartners!!!
Me too. But that still doesn't make it easier. I'm pretty new on this site, and I have paticipated in perhaps 10 threads. I think only 3 pronounced a winner and perhaps altogether 5 gave feedback.. maybe even not so many. And I'm just wondering if this site is worth investing my time in... There doesn't seem to be any consequence from the administrators of the site. It's all up to coinsidense if your work gets respected or not... I'm seriously thinking about not contributing to this forum. At least the contest forum. How are your experiences with this?
Well I've been fraud few times. Some CH disappeared after I won, others didn't pay and some stole my work. People here mostly because they like to design. most of the time - yeah it's a waste of time. Many good designers quit the forums due to what you written. I don't believe it! Really?! I'll stop from today. Just got a payed freelance gig and even though they are rare I'd rather wait for them than waste my time here... Too bad. It's a great idea for a giving comunity. What did you do, when they stole your work? Can you sue them? In Denmark we designers have "birthgiven" rights that are non-discussable. I could claim the violated my origins-rights to the design, and The would have to either buy the design (for a very high prize) or take the design off and pay a large fine instead... I don't know if these rules apply online in a forum from a different country...?
Actually nothing... Can't do nothing about it :\ very frustrating. OH my biggest scammer? he still on the forums in the name "unknownkind" he owes me more than 200$
same rights we have in romania too. the point is to watermark your work and if you don't trust the other person just ask for advance payment before you send any file. this is not a source of income, but rather a way to "keep in shape", test your hand, build a portofolio and so on. yeah, you can make few bucks along the way to buy some silly stuff for other websites you have.
