    Hi All,

I've started learning about XML have decided to apply it to my site for a "NEWS" section. I'm just confused on how to update the file.

Do I just go in and edit the xml code each time I want to update it?

Is there a xml manager or some type of program that makes things easier when it comes to updating my xml so I don't have to look dig through all the code just to make a new entry?

I'd setup a database to hold the news entries, and have it automatically pulled to your news section (AJAX ?) when a new entry is added. That's probably the most convenient way to do it.

oh and as far as AJAX.

I guess that's what i'm going to use to do it. I'm not exactly sure what to use.

if you just wanted a simple xml editor so you can edit your xml file direct and then upload it to your site, there's a few you could look at:

    eg.
    XMLNotePad from microsoft
    Authentic Desktop edition from altova

    Both freeware.
