Thanks for this great comparision. I'm already signed up to megashare, but it's good to see my choice and favorite add up to the best!!
Interesting. I am familiar with these paying file-sharing companies, but I never thought of making some money off of them. The files you would think would get downloaded the most are illegal files which I would never get myself involved in, but if you have a solid readership on your blog you may be able to use these services as distribution for your ebooks and other materials.
sharing songs TV shows audios EBooks is not illegal so a better choice you can earn while sharing files with friends or community fellows (forums/community networks you probably contribute in)
Yeah that's what I meant. Most people share music and movies/software, etc. Sharing your OWN stuff like that is fine, and so is sharing items that you have resell/distribution rights to. It can be very profitable and it was a great idea to mention here.
Brilliant idea Brandon, and absolutely right. Also if you look at the most viewed vids on youtube for example they tend to be home made vids about cats and the like! But re a blog and someone who has their own ebooks, this would be really profitable and could make the ebooks go viral...and perhaps re direct to your blog within the ebook? Also you can customise on Megashare so megashare.com/ebooktitle
The cool thing is that not only will you receive blog traffic from the book, but if your ebook contains affiliate links and it goes viral, you end up making a decent profit with little effort on your part.
This is really interesting. I never knew that sites like megashare had affiliate type programs but it does make sense. That said, I'd be interesting in seeing a list of their most downloaded content - $10 says it's porn
Really interesting discussion. Don't know about their most downloaded content (would be great to find out) but I think the point Brandon's touched on is everyone has their own content now. Some might be authors with ebooks, some might be musicians, some might be coders etc...The point is EVERYONE has content a funny holiday video, a cool picture. And megashare.com in particular because if its 70% ad rev split and 20% share of premium accounts to "affilliates" lends itself to be used as a new ready monetized distribution channel and link driver to blogs and sites. Now that's exciting. A business model of the future, for any digital content. I don't know why there's not much about that and them on more blogs and all
This is a the best a one can get from File sharing affiliate program as well as some other product. I have tried this idea and this is awesome. you just need to get a ebook on niche with affiliate link inside. Imagine you are spreading 10-20 books daily, what could be the sales? It's really awesome.
Very informative...I haven't heard of paying file share sites. But I'm not really surprised. Is this just like a Limewire but you get paid for it? Or is it more like dropbox where u backup ur files online and can share them?
File hosting sites are those where you upload any books/video/pictures and share them with people around the globe. For each unique download, hosting company pays you. Payment varies from company to company. For me Megashare is giving our maximum income in return of my files shared online.
Ofcourse it is especially if you are going to share small files but no problem with larger one as well. 70% revenue share is not a less amount if you compare your earnings with other file hosting programs. If you still have any questions, don't hesitate to ask here or on our official thread. Thanks!
two more question: 1. are you being paid good every month? whats the highest amount you ever got? and 2. do people have to face survies before downloading?
You can see an answer for your first question in Megashare official thread. No there are no surveys at all, downloads are totally free.
