Who can talk a little bit about the earthquake in London today (27 Feb 2008). Anyone wanna share their experience of it?
It wasn't just in London you know There were earthquakes all over England, the epicenter of the earthquake was 10 miles from my house. I was on a coach back home at the time it happened this morning so didn't know much about it until people back home texted me about it. Some people who witnessed it were a bit shook up but there was little damage caused by it!
Very weak compared to most earthquakes around the world. There are sometimes dozens of earthquakes every day around the world, and our one was just a tremor.
Think it was around 5 on the rictor(sp) scale, apparantly just shook our house for around ten seconds. Then about 4 in the morning there was an after shock
I'm hearing reports of 5.2^ My house was shaking at exactly 1:00 am, the floor in my home was moving, i looked outside to see if a petrol tanker had blew up or something lol
WTF lol when did this happen? I could not feel anything. -edit- I was dancing in the nightclub when this happened so we did not pay any attention but a few of my mates were woken up by their bed shaking.
There was only one person injured, A young boy who had a large piece of mortar land on his hip. But only one injury, It was 5.2 on the richter scale and happened at 12:56am and lasted for 10 seconds Apparently some people even felt it where I was, in the Southwest, But im not sure whether they are all there in the head!
