Hmmmm....do you think it was a big quake? http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_1512974,0008.htm http://www.expressindia.com/fullstory.php?newsid=56159
richter scale was around 6.6...i have noticed the past records of earthquake time in india has been 8am to 10 am. Today's main center of an earthquake was Pakistan. Do you guys remember when few yrs ago an earthquake came in gujrat, when thousands of people died then i was also in gujrat and i know how i saved my life. Whole building fell down at front me.
Ya, I remember the one in Gujarat, it was terrible, getting down from the ninth floor, it was the worst nightmare of my life. by the time we reached the ground, the building next to us turned to rubbles, in all several towers in Ahmedabad had collapsed. Fortunately, our building survived. It was my first experience where I realised, that even a concrete tower is flexible enough to swing either sides. The force was such that we could not run without holding the side bars of the stairs.
Jeez... with the numerous amounts of natural disasters happening in the 12 months I'm more content with living in the desert than ever. We have no ocean, no earthquakes, no tornados, no volacnoes ... the only real "disaster" we ever have is small floods or dust storms which are really a minimal threat.
Its a big news because, there is a series of natural disasters our mother earth has had recently, like Tsunami, floods in cities like Mumbai, hurricane Katrina in New Orlean' and many more, people through out the world have faced.I think this is really a big concern for all of us.
It not just about growth rate. India and China have been populous countries for centuries. After all these are amongst the oldest known civilisations of the world.
