Ok guys, I just made this site Earth4Energy (Earth4EnergyEbook.com)

I'm going to try and rank for the term "earth4energy" which has about 84,000 competition (when searching the term in quotes).

Just wondering what you guys think about the actual site. Is there anything more I can do to optimize the site/page? I've used H1, H2, proper titles and such. Hopefully I haven't stuffed "earth4energy" too much on my page..

Anyways, let me know what you guys think. Thanks! :)

looks like a very competitive term for something that I can't imagine is searched all that much...

Site looks fine, but I personally would find a different product

Thanks for the insight. Well, I just set up the site after finding out that someone ranking 4th/5th on the first page is getting 1-2 sales a day from Clickbank (they're selling their site in the BST section), which isn't really THAT much, but ideally, it's the level I'd want to be at.

Heh, who knows, maybe I'll try doing the same for another product as you suggested, but right now, I'm going to see what I can do with this. Already bought the domain, so I guess it's a bit too late to just let it go to waste.

Lol, good minds think alike. Guess I'll be your competition. I just put up two sites for this keyword:

    Earth4Energy (earth-4energy.org)

    Earth4Energy Scams (earth4energyscam.org)

Let me know how you're doing in terms of sales.

Hmm, I just did some link building for a few hours last night and now ranking #1 for the term, but I have a feeling it won't last for long.

I cant believe all the fuss about people wanting to rank high for the KW - earth4energy..

I must say kudos to Swerd as his st mover advantage has spawned a whole plethora of copycats & immitators..

    but my point is this..

get inside the head of your potential customer.. are the searching for the term earth 4 energy??

Dont think so.. what do people search under for this product? I dont think people wake up one day and say hmm I want a new windmill I know I'll Google Earth 4 Energy??

Sure the ranking high of E4E will do well for those buyers who are uncertain and want to Google more info after reading your landing page AFTER they have googled a search query like :

    > how to make solar power at home
    > how to build solar cells on a budget

But like I say this goes down to Swerd for some excellent timing in the marketplace.. plus a reasonable product.

Hmm, you're website just completely disappeared from the top 200. You know what happened? I would also like to know what made google think your website was #1 for 2 days, but I doubt many of us know. I'm assuming it was the way you built your links.

This keyword is definitely getting tons of traffic, but 2-4-K definitely has a point and we should target other keywords as well. An environmental friendly blog/website might be rather fun to make actually.

For one of my earth4energy websites, it got indexed, ranked at around 230, then it got deindexed. This happened to me before, so I'm pretty sure it will come back. Just thought that was weird.

LOL. Mmm, I also noticed that. But really, I'm not sure what I did wrong.

    It was mainly:
    - Social bookmarking (about 20-40 sites?)
    - DP signature / this thread, and a site review thread on another forum
    - DNforum signature, SitePoint signature, WarriorForum signature
    - 2 x YouTube videos, DailyMotion videos, and Metacafe videos.

When it happened to you before, how long did it take for your site to come back?

I'm not sure what to do right now. I've already filed a reinclusion request, but yeah, don't know if I should build more links, or just move on and not waste anymore time. And maybe if I check back again one day, it will be reindexed. Who knows.

Heh, if anything, it was nice to get 2 sales from the 2 days I was up there, lol.

I guess I also learnt a really good lesson; not to rush with link building.

I don't believe you rushed at link building. You're still in google, so google probably just demoted you temporarily.

The one that got deindexed was the one I actually built PR links for. The one ranking at #9 I submitted to digg and 1 link from DP. So, Google is weird.

It took 2 weeks for google to reindex. The website was an affilistore, built 0 links for it, got indexed, deindexed, reindexed.

Here's an even better solution.. dump the old site, start a new site lol.. it'll probably work.

Ah, yes. I'm still there. After reading a few topics in the sandbox forum on DP, I think it'll probably take 1-2 months to start ranking again, but right now, Google really doesn't like me, lol.

I made a page for Earth4Energy testimonials and submitted the page to Digg. The page doesn't even rank anywhere for the term "Earth4Energy Testimonials" even though there is no competition, and the digg submission itself ranks first, lol. I guess that's how much Google doesn't like me right now, lol.

I'll keep working on it I guess.

Thanks for the heads up. :)

The on page part is mostly fine. Apart from - you have 2 x H1 tags, you should only ever have 1 H1 per page. You also should be using H2, H3 for the other headings. Keyword meta isn't important but you should have meta description so people are enticed to clicking your link in the search results (use a single descriptive call to action sentence).

More link building and social bookmarking might help. What you've done so far looks good, just do more of it and Google will bounce back.

Thanks for the advice, pfitz. :) I didn't notice I had two h1 tags actually, so I'll edit the second one ASAP.

Still building links and hoping. :D
