I just started using Adsense on October 23rd. And in those last 8 days of the month I earned 151$. During the month of November my earnings a day have been nearly cut in half, I was averaging 18-19$ a day and now I'm averaging 9-11$ a day. Any cause for this? And any tips to fix?
I don't think the financial crisis should have any impact. If you have few sites, perhaps something you changed is affecting the SEO, causing your ads to be value priced?
Could anyone chime in and offer their thoughts as to when using adsense would actually take away from one's earnings? Or is it always better to have it up?
sometimes, the advertisers put high bid for clicks in the initial stage of their campaign, which may get you some money, but later when they reduce their bid, it will effect in your adsense earnings as well. Dont worry about earnings in the initial stage of your adsense programe, you earnings will increase day by day. I got $163 oneday suddenly, where i used to get only $40. Same thing happend i guess.
Your sample size isn't big enough to determine is 151$ over 8 days should be the norm. Let it go for a few months and you'll have a good idea of how much you should get every week.
I get around 1,200 page impressions a day with about 30 clicks a day which is like a 2.5% CPR. Is displaying any of this information against google's ToS? My site is pretty much just a gaming community thats been around since 2005 and supports a variety of games. A question I have, I can put adsense onto one of my other sites? If so is there a limit? I have one other site which alot of the same people goto and they are closely related (but look nothing alike and have alot of different content). If alot of the same people who visit my gaming website click the ads of my other site would that be seen as invalid clicks? Thats why I'm not to sure whether I should put it up on my other website. Because alot of the same people visit that site.
Wow. Impressive. Your earning is quite huge for a starter. The change in your earning is just normal. May I know what's the niche of your site? Find more strategies on how to gain tons of traffic for your blog/site.
You're earnings are already good but you couldn't expect it to be the same way because this is a business.
Alex you are doing good. Don't worry about invalid clicks. You said you were earning $16+ last month which has dropped to $10. Can you confirm that the number of clicks is the same when compared to last month. May be when you introduced adsense, your regular visitors did not realize they were ads and clicked on them. But now they know that they are taken away from the site, they are more cautious and that would have resulted in lesser number of clicks. Just a wild guess. You should track whats happening on your site. Traffic, CTR, eCPM one of these could have changed and hence the downside in earnings. My suggestion is do a thorough study and analyze your self. Nothing has changed from googles end as I don't see much changes. You are doing great for a beginner. Learn to optimize the ads and formats for your site and you'll be happier. REgards, /G
