I used to make easy $20 a day without advertising my site and $25 with advertising, then after i updated my meta tags my earnings went down to $5 to $7 a day!! i tried putting back the old meta tags and im still making $5 - $7

What do you think i should do to bring back my $20 a day earnings?

How many days after you changed your tags did you noticed the earning going down? did you check your traffic?
Is your site getting same traffic from same kind of source as before or different, and how old is your site?

put it in your head: when the things are going fine, do not change anything.

yea like that quote changing meta will certain affect the earning but don't worry if you are back with old meta it may take a week or 2 to get good results

I doubt if changing meta tags will have been responsible unless it lead to a different type of ads.

    exactly what i was thinking...

Either that happened, or you have lost some (targetted) traffic, check your refferers, etc

Are the ads that are being displayed actually relevant to you site? or are they from Ebay, and ringtone sites?

I think it is nothing but patient and wait. In my experinces, adsense display their ads based on URL, title, meta tags and contents and its need some times to change their ads by bots crawl. :D Hope your site come back very soon.

I hardly think that changing your meta tags was responsible for your drop in earnings if it was due to a drop in SERPs, especially if it was "so instant" that you blamed your meta tags for it. You must remember the following points:

    1. AFAIK Google does not use meta tags in it's calculation of the ranking in the SERPs.
    2. It takes a few days, or even weeks for changes in your on-site markup to effect your overall rankings in the SERPs.

However with that said, lets do consider that Google uses your meta tags in your theme calculation (somewhat.) By changing the overall theme that your meta tags describe, you could effectevly change the type of ads that are being served in your google adsense impressions.

The type of ads are very important as most people know myspace ads can be a low as 0.02 a click, whereas real estate or financial ads can be 1-4 dollars a click.

This is how I see it, but feel free to comment.

Well if you are getting the same traffic and same impressions. most likely your site has been smart priced... and that has nothing to do with meta tags... just google wanting tosmart price you :p

If clicks started to be lower for no reason whatsoever... its not your meta tags.. since ur ads are still the same.

put in your head: when things go fine, they can always go better. (specially if you make 25 a day.)
