I have seen several times, my daily earning show high value but next day that earning no accumulated to total. Today It shows 'November 29, 2006 to November 29, 2006' xx earning, tomorrow that will not count for total. Because of that always I get total earning less than yesterday's total earning. Anybody else see this?
I too have been seeing weird reporting behavior off and on over the last few weeks. When I view Earnings or Orders for "Yesterday", Amazon actually shows all earnings/orders for the entire month.
Amazon Associates posts report by 9am Pacific Time for the previous day's business. (Reports are sometimes late and can post later in the day). On the day PRIOR to when reports are posted, if you select previous day's report, you get the report for the entire quarter. Once the results are posted, you only get that day's report. An example to make it more clear: Today is December 4 and this morning Amazon posted results for December 3. I don't know the exact moment those results were posted, so let's assume it was at 9am. So today being December 4, if I were to check the results for December 3 at 8am today, I'd get the entire quarter worth of results. Then, if I were to check again at 10am, I'd get only December 3rd results. This is why it seems that earnings jump around.
Well, its now 3:45 p.m. PST, and yesterday's earnings haven't been posted yet. It says it's yesterday's earnings (I wish), but it's really quarter to date.
Yes, that's correct. Until previous day's results are posted, it will show Quarter-To-Date earnings for that date. Not very intuitive, I agree. I'm sure this is not what Amazon intended and is probably a bug in their system. However, because this is a very easily explainable bug, they are likely to have higher priority projects to work on. When I ran the program I would have prioritized this fix behind a high-value project such as aStore.
Well, their reporting has gotten screwier and screwier. Given that, you'd think they would have fixed it before the holiday season. 7:30 PM Pacific time and they still haven't reported.
Results are in and it's in another $100 profit day for me yay! Looking for commission getting up to 7.5%
Great job, Asen. Congrats! Would anyone be interested in getting an email notification when Amazon reports become available? I am beta-testing a notification system and I got notified this evening the moment Amazon report became available for yesterday's results. If you are interested in helping me test this system, please drop me an email -- my address is on my blog site (see signature).
Hey, I completely missed that. Good idea having incorporated your email address into an image. Just side-banded you.
Gene, I just got my email notification. What can I say? You da man! I can only hope this continues and I look forward to a daily email. Thank you so much!!!!
Email notification is something but not always very handy. It seems a better idea would be to fix the reporting system so it's not so late! I don't mind a couple hours, but it seems to lag behind a DAY or two sometimes. I don't like having to wait so long to find out whether or not I got $.66 in commissions or not ;P
Amazon is running a very complex system that has to process tens of millions of page views and their tagged associate tags. It just takes time. The good news is that it all works and associates do get paid. I have not seen their system be as much as a day behind. Typically, their reports due at 9am the following day but during the busy times they would come in at 1pm and one day they came in at 8pm (11 hours late). Anyways, the best I can offer you right now is a way for you to get notified when the report posts so you don't have to constantly go to Amazon to check. Let me know if this is something you would like.
Gene has updated his site and made it easy to sign up for notifications. Just create an account and sign up for the alerts. http://affiliatebrand.com/
