I have a fews days this month that I received clicks on, but I am not showing any earnings for these clicks. Does it ever take a long time to show the earnings or should I contact google? If so, I couldn't find where to contact them about this?

    Maybe they were invalid clicks?!

Invalid clicks are those either performed by you (a No No!) or any other party that was somehow not allowed to click on the ads (e.g. robots, etc.) I think there's a better or more comprehensive explanation in the support center :)

Well actually a robot does not click on links. It would be a robot explicity programmed to do that maybe but as the links are retrieved through a JavaScript interface, a general spider wouldnt be able to do anything about it... You could just ask Google when and who has made these invalid clicks. Maybe it's all from the same IP and that's why they don't show up...

The reporting is about as close to real time as it gets. I would guess there were some invalids.

Can anyone guess why this is happening all of a sudden? This is the first time and now twice this month.

Why not ask them? They are going to be able to answer this question better than any of us. All we can do is guess.

Okay, well, I contacted them and I received their standard form response. About there technology deeming clicks invalid, blah blah blah.

That doesn't answer my question at all. Why all of a sudden are clicks on my site invalid? I am not clicking on them nor am I having anyone click on them for me. I am a very small site and we are talking a very small number of clicks here.

I am very upset about this, I finally start building my site traffic up through lots of hard work and this is how I am repaid, or should I say not paid.

I responded to their email. I will let you know if they respond back incase you are interested.

Um, how do you know you GOT clicks if you didn't click on them yourself???? Or if "a friend" clicked on them and told you they did? Methinks you're not telling us everything...

I know I got clicks because my adsense account is reporting that I received clicks. I just did not receive any earnings for these clicks.

Trust me, I have absolutely nothing to hide here.

If you did not receive earnings for the clicks, they were likely invalid clicks..

I guess they were somehow. I just don't understand exactly what invalid clicks are. anyway, thanks for all of your help with this and for sticking with the thread.

Invalids could be a number of things... Someone clicking their own ads. Someone clicking ads more than once. Or some other common set of variables that Google uses to protect against fraud, and accdiental over clicking by the average passerby to a site.
