You can take example of DP and other forums. I don't have such experience but placing ads between posts / inside posts should perform decently.
There's one major rule from earning a higher eCPM from your forums and I know what it is. The rule obviously is good placement, but also a lot of organic traffic from the search engines. This is because most of the traffic from the search engines will be guests and are more likely to click while your normal members will just be at your forums to post. If they post, they don't really want to click on an ad half way through posting so they are the main ones that are just creating pageviews without any clicks.
As manhcuong, it depends on how big and popular your forum is and of course how ACTIVE! I make a pretty decent income daily from one of them but it took YEARS to reach this stage.
i think the best place for adsense codes on forums is inside the first post but you can be sure that you will get so low ctr on your forum
I would think the users would hate Kontera more than Adsense. Those links all over the posts are annoying. If you've used those what has been the response from your users?
I use kontera and I've not had any complaints from my users... the only compints about ads I've had from my users are some CPM ads, I run CPM ads and not adsense
On my forum yesterday I was earning just over $1 per click. (I also got one from DP $0.77). Making a really nice $3.91 for just 4 clicks. So it's definately worth having ads on your forum. Mine is just small in comparison to others out there (with a memberbase of just over 50). But we do have a lot of "lurkers". I also have Ad Revenue sharing, but no one has really jumped on board yet. lol. Maybe I should let them know how much I'm currently earning from it on the forum?
You will find that your earnings are more likely to come from the lurkers than the posters. So the more lurkers the better I say and the lest moderation you will have to do from it as well. Although saying this it's still god to have members posting or there will be no one lurking if theres no new posts to lurk at.
