Earnings drop

In the last four weeks I've noticed a big drop in my earnings from AdSense. Normally I earn anything between £1 and £3 a day but this month I'm lucky if I earn more than a few pence in a day. Has anything changed with AdSense that I may have missed?

Problem with earnings are often related to traffic.

my earning is about the same, not seeing any significant drop
it probably due to your traffic, CTR or visitor

The traffic is about the same but my affiliate earnings have increased. That probably means people are staying on my site and buying rather than clicking the ads.

Nothing has changed in adsense as far as I can tell.

Well, might be the competition for the Adwords changed.
you can check to see what are the listings of the Adsense Ads, and maybe make some changes from there (blocking them) ... but not advisable.

I may change the ad layout. I don't like huge blocks of ads that dominate the page so I just have a small link unit at the top and bottom of most of the pages. What I have noticed is that the ads displayed are exactly the same in both link units. Time to experiment perhaps.

As AdSense earners, we accept the fact that our earnings may fluctuate or, in some cases, completely stall (in cases of account disabling, etc.)

You should check your website statistics and see if there's some change in traffic, usually it's down to that.

My earnings peaked at somewhere around £112 one day in December but nowadays it is around half. My best guess is that it was Christmas advertising.

It all depends on your niche and how much advertisers are willing to pay for those ads.

I'm guessing by his post demeanor he's saying that he's had the same niche all along but a change in earnings. This indicates traffic change tbh.

Have you seen a drop on your site traffic as well? Seems like that's the most logical explanation.
