Earnings down after visual rebuild?

    Recently I completely redid the graphics and layout on my site (http://dangerouslyfun.com) and since then my earnings dropped about 40%. The CTR went down slightly, which I suspected was possible, but the value of each click also went down. How could that happen?

    cpc is down about 40% for a lot of people right now. Regardless of graphics and layout.
