Hello! I've noticed strange thing - huge decrease of earnings in February - about 30% I have the same number of visitors and pageviews, the CTR is even better, than in January - but total income per day is much lower. (I know that February has 28 days - it's not the reason). As far, as I can understand - the reason is in low CPM or CPC? Has anyone the same situation? Or it is just my case?
that's for you...for me the february is the highest earning month...in my 4 months on adsense....hopefully it would get even higher...
may be i got your 30% plus some tipping because my $ went about 50& up dispite the 28 days only in Feb hence may be other reasons and no google "fault" and no market tendency are you up to date in your SEO techniques and adsense optimization ( heat map ) doing fresh tings needed THESE very days or weeks? do yoiu offer NEW content every once in a while and daily new posts/services/info to attract more advertisers and more visitors ? things always change daily but the overall trend all the past 12+ months was UP months after months as the traffic goes up all else gos up as well - all directly proportional to your daily efforts and creative productivity
hans, thank you for reply. the matter is that everything on website was as good as usual. same ads, same ad placement, same content refresh - all same. seo, heatmap - all as usual. same 70000 visitors per month ) and it worked with uptrend for 8 continous months. but suddenly it felt down. when we talk about 4 figures income -30% is very painy.
I have the same experience. I reckoned it had a bit to do with Olympics. Looking more closely, I think the loss of three days was probably half of the difference. The other half was accounted for by a decrease in the average value of clicks. I track them on a daily basis and I cannot see any pattern. They definitely jump up and down from one day to the next. Since my content changes throughout the day, some of that could reflect changes in the impact of the content of articles on the ad selection. However, I am not sophisticated enough in my visitor tracking to monitor that kind of thing.
sigh, i noticed that too. My site's earning has drop considerable. Cost per click now can be as low as 1 cent. SIC!
I think you people missed the point, same # of clicks but lower earnings. My clicks went up by about 50% from Jan. to Feb. but my income went up only 25% so even though I made more money I made less than I should have, all things being equal.
maybach i understand your 30% pain but if i have 4 digits and get yours plus tipping ( i.e. 50% plus ) then i have no pain at all i have mor etraffic than before and more everything ( ctr 5.1&% site average feb ) .. you just have to consider the seasonal changes of focus in mankind and offer something for each of these phases all year long every months we get more sites=more competition and more users also hence we have to "fight" for our margin and work harder and better in all aspects includijng quality to get a proportinally growing share each months just add NEW stuff, new topics, current topics - go with the season and fill a natural need and demand then all looks sunny
hans, thank you for reply 'working harder and better' - is the best advice in my life and how do you get +50% tipping?
you lost 30% i had 50% plus last months i.e. your 30 plus 20 tipping = 50%+ i did exacty what i wrote work more and harder like thiese days again i set a goal each year about 100% more traffic i.e. doubling of traffic each day one or several new content pages each week or day some fixes or improvements on the site sometimes tech howtos, sometimes pics, sometimes solutions to human problems, sometimes i make just as a gift for others a free promo page for a specially good business, resort or so .. these days i have photo sessions about flower gardens in baguio, strawberry fields, roses, butterfly gardens, etc thats easy - just a matter of creating new content and technical howtos and new chapters etc. i do all html by hand to have fully validated code and best serps if i am behind my goal and i do "overtime" to catch up it works since 9 years for me
