It's based on your focus,

- if you want to make a Big, good authority and long term website, Your site should have a nice look to increase the trust of visitors. The visitors will always come again to your site, you must make them feel happy there (slow but high potential)

- But if you only focus for earning, not too care about the long term and also the authority, just make a website with a simple look (more fast but won't grow)

 

Why do you buy 4 year old domain? Do you buy these kind of expiring domains from auctions sites like godaddy?

First, Google Adsense and my other residual incomes are only my side income. Meaning, I still have my main job (yes, 9-6 work) which is still my main cashflow, and I am doing Adsense for my additional income (to treat my kids to souplantation or ChuckyCheese). Although people love to use Google Adsense, in most cases, I am still not that good yet. There is still plenty of space to grow and learn, and that's the beauty of it. As of now, Google Adsense is still my weakest revenue stream out of my other online residual incomes.

When I first started my Online Residual Income, my goal was to enjoy my work without have to thinking about losing my job. It's almost like having an additional battery for your phone. I know that most people can't wait until quitting their job, and move on to something else. For me, I really love my job. I love the people, community, work environment, and learning directly from my CEO.

With that said, my extra online income has been allocated for my online investment. I would rather (by 100x) reinvest my money back to online business than saving them in my Savings Account.

Here is my usual break down for Adsense:
- 1 article writer or me: 50 quality articles will cost me around $500 ~ $600. In real business, this is not even considered as a real investment.

- 1 marketing person or me: building quality links, article submissions, Social Networking, etc..
This usually cost me about $300 ~ $400 per month.

Investment Summary:
Initial Investment: $700 ~ $1,000
ROI: 4 ~ 6 months
Usual Revenue Per Month After 4 months: $300
Annual Revenue (Standard): $3,600
Revenue Increment (Standard): 10% ~ 15% per month

What I have learned:
Google Adsense is 50% science and 50% luck. If it doesn't work, dump it and move on. One must learn when to pull out or un-plug the Adsense, and move on to next adsense site wihtout looking back. If we are to grasp few of these basic formulas and architect foundation, you will be able to maximize your adsense site to its fullest potentials.

Just think I CAN!! I will not sleep until I help people to make their first $100 dollars (ok... maybe little bit..)

nice post! I'm thinking about creating a content website. All I have is two domains parked on google; pos-t-vac.com and pos-t-vac.org and they earn a few dollars. I really really really wish more people would click on them so I can make a decent few dollars but obviously thats not happening with Adsense for Domains.

You are spot on regarding quality of content. In some cases less is more. By pumping out a pile of useless articles you are wasting your time. It's always better to research and put lots of time and effort into each article you write. Make sure your articles are unique and full of useful content people are actually searching for.
