Earning money with no clicks?

    Hi all,

    So i've noticed today that I have earnt very small amounts of money without any clicks at all

    What I've found is that for those ads I have a small eCPM and around 100 or so impressions...there has been no clicks, but I have still registered some earning for today?

    Any ideas?!

    Picture Ads, in which you get paid for them to get displayed.

    it is also possible that you've received earnings for adsense for search but haven't noticed. check if you've received from search.

    The earning from no clicks shows that you are being paid for displaying the cpm (cost per thousand impression) ads where the number of impressions are taken into account for calculating the earnings. Hope this solved your question.

    I haven't been displaying pic ads i'm afraid! just pure old text links!

    I also have every add that i serve tracked with a individual channel so i can see where the money is coming from!

    Honestly though, we are talking very small amounts - but i was just curious as to why. As far as I was aware, Google didn't have a CPM on their text link units, just CPC?

    It's annoying me a little though, I just wish that they were clicks!!

    ok so got to the end of the day and my ad unit that had no clicks earned the same as my ad unit that had one click - riddle me that!
