Earning From Participation Forum (5 cents per thread, 2 cents per post)

Hi guys,

I've implemented a cash system on my board to keep track of your own earnings. You will earn 5 cents for every thread that you start and 2 cent for every replies you made.

To me, this is more like an incentive to the member rather than forcing people to post for the sake of money. So, if you think you will enjoy the forum, do sign up and start earning and having fun at the same time.

I know the cash that I'm offering is cheap and of little value but it might be worth a lot for some other people, so please don't post in the thread asking to bump up the cash value as I said, I rather people post because they enjoy the forum and not for the sake of money.. furthermore, I'm not making much money from the forum atm, but if I do, the cash value will increase as time goes by.

If your thread hit digg or other related digg-alike (which is famous of cos!) site frontpage, a $5 bonus will be added to your account.

Nope, cos I'm afraid people might make many fake accounts.. I know this all sound pretty rigid.. but as I said.. it's purely an incentive and I hope to get people who take this as an enjoyment in the community and not "OK, I'm going to crazily post non-stop to earn lots of money and quit my day time job!" thingy... and if I do make money from the board, i'll make sure my members will enjoy the earnings too.

 

Yeah I understand, but couldn't you track fake accounts by only allowing one account per IP address?

It would help your forum grow if you had a referral incentive, or maybe a week long referral contest or something.

 

yea, i could do that.. but i'm working full time in the weekday.. and only have the chance to moderate or post stuff on the site in the evening..

you can imagine how hard is it for me to check every IP address that signed up... hehee, but thanks for the suggestion though!

I know of some people that could moderator the forum for like $5 per week or something if you'd like.

I'll put this up for a week first to see whether is there anyone exploiting the system by signing up multiple times. So please don't abuse the system as my mates and I would be very busy filtering them out and banning those accounts..
