My situation is not much different from you. I started just one month prior to you. Till now have received just 1 check from adbrite (another one is on its way).. still to cross $50 mark in google.. Yes I have a decent Job but believe me on an average I used to give 3-4hrs on web for last 6 months.. Still I am hopeful – few years down the line I ll get equivalent return to all the efforts & time I am spending over net. Be optimistic… You have given so much time, continue it for some more time, you ‘ll definitely get the result..(Hopefully me also) .. Good times are ahead just be patient to that point.
Thanks, you've motivated me because now I know a 14 year old can earn money than a person who is likely to have more experience in the business and online world. Anyway, keep trying!
I suggest the same thing. It takes money to make money - you need to invest to make profit, and it's necessary to have a job or money before you start work online, IMO. Get better, and learn from your mistakes. That's all I can say. Good luck.
I actually made over $100 in my first two months of my site, but since then it's been very slow. In total for my site, it's been over $150 definately, but I've spent so much more.
Looking at the topic of the sites and the possible amount of traffic it receives, I am pretty sure Google Adsense is not the best way to monetize most of these sites. Even for your best site StandyWorld.org, you would probably get 0-3 clicks/day and PPC would not be that great. I can almost guarantee that you can earn $200/month just by selling text links. PR6 - You can easily sell up tp 20 text links for $8/month each. Try to put your customers into some subscription (Paypal, etc) so you dont have to get hold of them each month. Keep an aim of $250 income by the 15th of November and try to come closer to that amount every day. First make an AD for selling text links. Mention the PR first, mention what the site is all about and charge a competitive price. You should be seeing sales by tomorrow evening. I really dont see why you cannot earn about $200-$250/month from these sites. I suggest you stick with selling text links while you learn other avenues - optimizing your site for Adsense, optimizing your site for Search Engines, etc. Now here is the most important part: Do not spend your income as you receive. Save it. When you have about $500 - $700, which you should definitely have by the end of 3 months from now, go buy yourself another good PR6 site. Your income would then be atleast $400/month. Also, continue the link building as it is very important that you maintain the Pagerank.
I gotta say, all these kinds words has made me feel a bit better, too. I'd kill for your PR. Well, I'd kill for the 6, but probably wouldn't go past maiming for the 3s. I have standards.
Yep, selling links is a good idea. A suggestion: why don't you leave 1 full post on frontpage instead of listing 10 posts with read more?
you can earn atleast a $100 a month easily! with your sites. let the adsense go it's way. don't try anything on it, other wise you will get banned! give me the link to a non adsense site of yours, and i will try to make sure that you earn $100+ a month from it! cheers!
I was advised to sell links... I havent done so yet, because I dont have time for it so far (I guess it takes some time to sell a link in a forum, right?).
it deponds on your site, if you have a pr5+ site, then your links will be sold quickly! pr and traffic is all that matters!
Yeah if I hadn't made made money from other jobs and just focused on my site, well, I'd be a lot poorer. You gotta do other stuff. Webmastering is easy. Other stuff is hard (not hard, per se, tedious).
The begining was hard for me olso 6 months till i got some real money 400$ now i'm avaragin at 1-1.5K At adsense in 1 year olmost just 250$ but i'm still learning it's a new thing andi will never guive up must prove that i'm good to me not to others
