Remove the pictures you have above the fold, above the fold means, the part of the site people see without scrolling down the page...

The content will still be there, just not above the fold. I guess it's a matter of, if you want them to click your ads, or click the post image...

Like this.... Put your ad block on the left, in your content, then remove the sidebar widgets and only put your recent post's there.... You need a new theme...
