signing up for an ansense account would be helpful to begin with if your client doesn;t have one yet. place ad code on the sites and just watch the money rolling in. you will get better over time on how to position the ads and how to blend them into your existing template. and like others said, just read this forum on a regular basis.
I would say continue to absorb yourself in learning as much as you can about adsense, onpage/offpage website optimization and as much related information you can get your hands on. Staying connect to this forum is also very helpful.
